Quiet Brain Behind a Comfortable Home
What if one elegant device in your living room could manage temperature, air quality and ventilation for your entire home, floor by floor, room by room? That idea became Ivy Home, the first and most advanced product in Airios’ new climate control family. Airios asked ManGo Product Design to help translate this vision into a real, manufacturable product. The ambition went beyond a single device: Ivy Home would set the tone for a complete ecosystem of smart home climate products. The challenge was clear; create something powerful, but calm. Intelligent, without being intrusive. A quiet boss for indoor climate control.
Bringing Climate Control into One Interface
In most modern homes, climate control is a patchwork of separate devices: a thermostat here, a ventilation unit there and a CO₂ sensor flashing numbers nobody really understands. Different brands, different interfaces, no cooperation. Airios saw an opportunity to clean up this clutter and asked ManGo to rethink the system from scratch. Ivy Home became the starting point: one interface that brings temperature, ventilation and air quality together in a single, coherent experience. Simple where it should be, informative where it matters.
Designed with Users and Installers in Mind
Before drawing a single line, we spoke with day to day users , and just as importantly, with installers. Because if a product is frustrating to mount, that frustration tends to live on inside the wall. By mapping the needs of homeowners, installers and OEM partners , we defined a design direction that is neutral, timeless and easy to integrate into any interior or brand identity. ManGo developed the complete design language and graphical user interface in close collaboration with Airios’ software team. A subtle LED strip gives instant air-quality feedback at a glance, while the screen offers deeper insights for users who want more detail. Less confusion, more confidence.
Engineered for Production, Built for Flexibility
Behind Ivy Home’s calm appearance sits a complex piece of engineering. Multiple connection types, electrical safety requirements, sensor placement and screen performance all had to fit inside a compact, elegant housing. ManGo developed a fully functional prototype to validate usability, fit and finished early on, even showcasing it at a trade fair before production tooling began. During industrialization , we worked closely with Airios and injection-molding partners to ensure a smooth transition to manufacturing. Because Airios supplies OEMs, the final design is intentionally clean and customizable, allowing colors, icons and branding to adapt easily. One smart product, many identities, and a solid foundation for the future of home climate control.
