Wattsun was founded to make clean, mobile energy available wherever it is required. Their innovative battery system replaces noisy and polluting generators with quiet, emission free power. ManGo Product Design helped refine and optimize this portable plug and play energy solution, designed for stacking and expansion like building blocks. Each module provides reliable power that can be scaled to meet the user’s needs, whether at an outdoor event, construction site or remote film set. With this collaboration, Wattsun takes a major step in making sustainable power accessible in every environment.

Engineering for Mobility and Strength

ManGo conducted a full product analysis to improve the Wattsun Dock and Pack systems. The goal was to make them more user friendly, durable and cost efficient . During the development process , ManGo strengthened the internal frame to increase drop resistance, introduced a balanced handle for one handed carrying and optimized airflow for better cooling. Additional upgrades included redesigned components for injection molding , simplified assembly and the integration of solar charging options. Each improvement enhanced usability while preparing the design for scalable production.

Cooling That Protects Performance

To ensure reliable operation in demanding outdoor conditions, ManGo carried out advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations. The challenge was to maintain proper cooling within a compact, sealed enclosure that needed to resist water, dust and impact. Through detailed airflow modeling and subsequent design improvements, our team optimized internal circulation to prevent overheating without compromising the product’s high IP-rating. The result is a robust battery system that performs safely and efficiently even in harsh climates.

The optimized Wattsun system now delivers clean energy to industries worldwide. From music festivals and film productions to construction and landscaping, it provides silent and dependable power wherever electricity is needed. The collaboration with ManGo Product Design made the system easier to assemble, more durable and more efficient to manufacture. The strength of this design was recognized with an iF Design Award , underscoring its blend of sustainability, mobility and performance. Wattsun proves that clean energy can be practical, robust and a true alternative to traditional fossil-fuel generators.
