Helping Children Wake Up Confident
Bedwetting is far more common than most families realize, yet the solutions often feel outdated, uncomfortable or overly clinical. Urifoon, specialist in urinary training systems, asked ManGo Product Design to reimagine their iconic bedwetting alarm for a new generation. We created Liberty Lite: a complete, wearable training system that helps children wake up on time, develop awareness during the night and gradually stay dry on their own. The system combines smart detection underwear, a compact receiver, a soft vibrating puck, a charging dock and an optional training app. A gentle signal wakes the child when the first drops of urine are detected, turning nighttime stress into a predictable, empowering routine and restoring confidence for the whole family
Designed for Comfort, Confidence and Calm
Liberty Lite needed to work for young children and teenagers, two groups with very different sensitivities. Instead of medical styling or childish cues, we designed a clean, friendly and subtle product line that fits any age without stigma. The receiver features a large capacitive button that’s easy to find and press even when half asleep, highlighted by a soft LED ring during an alarm. Colors, icons and light behavior were carefully chosen to feel reassuring at night and intuitive during setup. Working closely with our electronics partner, we miniaturized the transmitter as far as possible and gave it soft, rounded contours so it’s almost unnoticeable while sleeping. It charges directly on the alarm module, ensuring it is always ready for the next night, no loose chargers and no guesswork.
Smart Technology, Supports Natural Learning
Inside the special Liberty underwear, a discreet moisture detection circuit recognizes the first signs of urination and immediately sends a signal to the receiver. The alarm or vibrating puck then wakes the child, who can simply disable the signal and go to the toilet. Over time, the body learns to recognize the moment just before urination, a proven training method that helps most users become reliably dry at night within a few months. For deep sleepers, a vibration puck under the pillow adds extra waking power without disturbing others. Every detail, from the signal strength to the tactile feel of the button, was designed to be reliable, intuitive and child-friendly.
Progress Tracking
The optional Liberty app completes the ecosystem. It connects to the system, supports parents with remote alerts, and tracks nightly progress to create a personalized training journey. Urifoon can provide tailored advice based on real data, making the process encouraging rather than overwhelming.
ManGo also designed the packaging and unboxing experience; colorful, uplifting and gender-neutral, created to inspire confidence instead of shame. Simple illustrations and approachable styling help children feel proud of their progress from the very first moment. Liberty Lite transforms bedwetting training into a positive, manageable and empowering experience for families by combining smart technology with calm, thoughtful design.
