A Design That Already Feels Relaxing

Jawly needed a design that could define an entirely new category: a device that works effectively, yet avoids all associations users would rather not think about. No clinical look, but a friendly object that communicates calm and trust. The challenge was to give a reassuring, recognizable identity to a product nobody has ever seen or used before. The ribbed geometry provides instant grip, the biocompatible materials feel soft and safe and the rounded contours make the device intuitive to handle. The open screw mechanism reveals exactly what happens during use, giving users a sense of control rather than doubt. Even during a sleepy morning routine, the subtle ribbed surface ensures a secure hold. The result is a calm, lifestyle oriented design that signals relaxation even before the user begins turning the mechanism.

Two Minutes a Day, Big Relief

Jawly works by gently stretching the masseter muscle, the strongest muscle in the face, in a safe and controlled way. While it may sound intense, the experience is surprisingly calming. By gradually lengthening the muscle, built up tension decreases and the unconscious urge to grind at night reduces significantly. ManGo developed a defined movement range and tested countless prototypes to guarantee both comfort and safety. The device is engineered to safely withstand more than twice the maximum human clenching force. This was validated through extensive digital FEM analyses as well as destructive testing on physical prototypes. For CE certification of this new type of device, ManGo guided the client through the full process, including risk analysis and all required documentation.
