HigoSense redefines telemedicine by bringing clinical diagnostics into the home. Designed and engineered by ManGo Product Design, the HigoSense device allows users to perform nine medical examinations with a single handheld product. Each test provides accurate data that can be reviewed by trained clinicians 24 hours a day. Within minutes, users can consult a doctor, receive a prescription, or obtain a referral. Combining advanced technology with intuitive usability, HigoSense empowers patients and improves access to medical care around the world.
Integrating Nine Medical Functions in One Device
HigoSense challenged ManGo to develop a compact and affordable product capable of replacing multiple medical instruments. The solution features five interchangeable modules that together enable nine clinical tests, including throat and skin imaging, ear canal examination, heart and lung auscultation, temperature measurement, and heart rate monitoring. To make this possible, ManGo engineered the device from the ground up, integrating all electronics into a single housing. Extensive optomechanical design and light guide development ensured clear imaging for every exam while keeping the product lightweight, efficient, and easy to use.
Designing for Certification and Real Use
The device had to progress from concept sketch to certified medical product within one year. ManGo worked with Zign Innovations and medical specialists to design, prototype, and test the product under real clinical conditions. The user interface was developed through focus groups to guide users safely through each procedure. Clear animations and step by step visuals help patients perform exams accurately, while the device automatically validates module connections and data before transmission. Every design decision prioritized accessibility, comfort, and medical reliability.
From Prototype to Production
ManGo collaborated with Production Heroes to establish manufacturing in Europe. The team engineered over sixty custom parts and ensured complete watertight sealing through precise two component rubber molding. Tight tolerances and smooth finishes support both hygiene and durability. The final product integrates nine diagnostic tools into one affordable, easy to clean device suitable for home healthcare. HigoSense demonstrates how thoughtful design and engineering can make professional medical diagnostics accessible to anyone, anywhere.
