At ManGo, we’ve had the honor of shaping products for the iconic Le Creuset brand for over a decade. So when they asked us to help develop an entirely new line of portable food and beverage containers, we rolled up our sleeves (and packed lunch). The result: On the Go—a smart, sustainable, and stylish collection of stainless-steel lunchboxes, flasks, mugs, and bottles built to go wherever life takes you. From daily commutes to adventurous getaways, this new collection offers users the freedom to move in colour—with Le Creuset quality, of course.
Let’s face it—disposable packaging might be easy, but it’s hardly elegant. Le Creuset offers a durable and recyclable product that is designed for repeated use, all without sacrificing sophistication. From the very beginning, our design process focused on creating products that endure: robust stainless steel construction, vacuum insulation to keep meals hot or cold for hours, and a design language that stands the test of time. We experimented, tested, and refined to ensure every product could handle the daily grind—and look good doing it. Because reheated soup in a plastic tub? That’s so last century.
When designing something new for a brand as established as Le Creuset—celebrating its 100th birthday, no less—you don’t mess with the DNA. One of the early questions we asked ourselves: how do you design a travel bottle that still feels unmistakably Le Creuset? The answer came in the form of a subtle, but powerful detail: the iconic three ring motif. At first, our factory partners weren’t convinced it was technically feasible. But with a bit of creative problem-solving (and more than a few CAD models), we made it happen. The result is a collection that respects tradition while boldly stepping into the future.
We believe great design lives in the details—and this collection is full of them. Leakproof lids with removable, washable seals? Check. Ergonomically shaped carrying loops that feel as good as they look? Absolutely. We even added capacity indicators inside, so you always know how much hydration you’re working with. And because nobody likes a bottle that topples over mid-meeting, we included a silicone anti-slip pad on the base for stability. These thoughtful additions don’t scream for attention, but they quietly enhance your experience every day.
Throughout development, we made sure every feature served a real purpose. No gimmicks. Just smart, thoughtful design. The travel mug can be opened with one hand, yes, even the hand holding the mug. The dual-opening bottles make it easy to add ice or herbs, and even easier to clean. We explored every possible way to elevate the user experience, while keeping the design clean, recognizable, and refreshingly un-fussy.
“From sketch to prototype, ManGo supported every step of the way, delivering a design that feels both innovative and true to the Le Creuset legacy”
The entire process was a collaborative sprint with Le Creuset’s international product and marketing team. We started with a big, creative brainstorm to explore what makes a thermos bottle truly stand out. From there, we charted dozens of ideas, prototyped like crazy and polished every detail until it was ready to represent a brand celebrating 100 years of excellence. The result? A collection that’s bold, practical, unmistakably Le Creuset—and proud winner of a Red Dot Design Award 2025.
