Luxury That Actually Survives Outside
Outdoor kitchens often look great on day one and start complaining by day thirty. Lusso Outdoor wanted something different: a kitchen that delivers true indoor-level luxury, but is engineered for rain, sun, frost and enthusiastic cooks. ManGo Product Design was asked to develop the Monza, a modular outdoor kitchen that combines refined design with serious outdoor durability. Built largely from aluminum, the Monza offers high strength with relatively low weight and is designed to handle year-round outdoor use without flinching. The result is an outdoor kitchen that doesn’t need excuses, covers or apologies.
Modular by Design, Flexible by Nature
From the start, modularity was key. Lusso wanted a system that could be tailored to each garden, terrace or rooftop and still be assembled quickly on site. ManGo developed a modular architecture based on cabinets in 60, 90 and 120 cm widths, with options for straight or curved side panels. Drawers, storage units, kamados, pizza ovens, wine coolers and bar setups all slot into the same system. The custom aluminum profile construction allows the kitchen to be assembled directly on uneven surfaces, meaning a four-meter setup can be installed in roughly three hours. And if the owner moves house or redesigns the garden? The Monza can simply move along.
Designed to Look Calm, Built to Work Hard
Visually, the Monza aims for quiet confidence. No bulky frames or visible fixings, but a clean, minimalist appearance made possible by concealed custom aluminum profiles. Rounded edges, created using advanced natural stone production techniques, soften the geometry and give the kitchen its distinctive character. Integrated LED mood lighting beneath the worktop adds both atmosphere and practical hand clearance, because fumbling for cabinet doors in the dark is not luxury. Ergonomics were carefully considered too, with a working height that suits both cooking and casual bar seating. It looks refined, but it’s designed to be used, not tiptoed around.
Built for a Lifetime
The Monza is fully manufactured in the Netherlands from high-quality aluminum and finished with a durable multilayer powder coating, including options suitable for coastal environments. Material waste is minimized by reusing aluminum offcuts as connecting components within the system. Since launch, demand has been so high that Lusso can barely keep up with production. As a result, ManGo remains closely involved in continuous design optimization, developing custom aluminum profiles and smarter assembly solutions to reduce manufacturing and installation time. The Monza has already earned an iF Design Award , but more importantly, it has become a benchmark for modular outdoor kitchens that are as practical as they are polished.
