Ideation Sprint

“Two days that set the course for your entire development trajectory.”

The ManGo Ideation Sprint is a compact, intensive two-day sprint in which you work closely with our team of experienced industrial designers. Having realized products across a wide range of markets, our team brings deep insight into the full journey from idea to shelf; including the pitfalls that often arise along the way. Together, we define, critically assess, and translate ideas into first visual concepts.

Throughout the sprint, we challenge both the idea and the underlying business model, safeguarding key factors such as manufacturability, cost price, patents, certification pathways, investment budgets, user-centered design, ergonomics, environmental considerations, and other critical success drivers. Beyond strong visualizations, you leave the sprint with a clear and realistic follow-up plan, including indicative timelines, budget estimations, and a structured roadmap to bring the product to market. This information is immediately valuable for investor discussions, pitch decks, and applications for innovation subsidies or grants, providing a solid, credible foundation for confident decision-making and successful further development.

Why choose the Ideation Sprint?

💡 Quickly get to the core; creativity without constraints

We start by sharpening user needs and contextual factors, allowing us to quickly uncover the essence of the challenge. Brainstorming with a multidisciplinary team of specialists results in a broad range of strong ideas. By deliberately keeping constraints and requirements open at the start, creativity is given full room to develop.

Concrete results within days

The sprint is compact and highly focused. In two days, we create clarity and alignment, which accelerates decision-making. Ideas are evaluated together in real time, allowing them to be refined and strengthened immediately. The outcome is a clear direction, supported by first visuals that serve as a foundation for further development.

Reduced risk through early validation

The sprint approach translates challenges into clear, viable solution directions. Early visualizations by our design experts enables rapid assessment of an idea’s potential, while also providing early insight into manufacturability, costs, certification, investment requirements, and development timelines, before significant time and budget are committed in a full design process.

👤 Strong focus on the end user

The end user is central throughout the sprint. While a few days do not allow for deep user research, we bring extensive experience in user-centered design across many industries to the table. Drawing on insights from hundreds of realized products (including what worked well and what didn’t) we guide ideas in the right direction from the very start.

🤖 A.I. as a catalyst

In addition to human creativity, we strategically use our own A.I. tools during the sprint to generate rapid, concrete additional input. This allows us to enrich insights in a short time and accelerate decision-making throughout the process. All data processed by our internally developed A.I. agents is fully safeguarded and is never used as training data.

What does the Ideation Sprint look like?

Day 1 – Joint creative session (Breda)

Morning
We dive straight into the challenge by creating a clear development overview. We define and sharpen key questions while critically reviewing your business model, investment budgets, target markets, intended use, target users, regulatory and certification requirements, manufacturing considerations and design aesthetics. Where needed, assumptions are challenged and refined to establish a realistic and well-founded development context.

Organized lunch

Afternoon
Mood board development and idea generation take center stage. Through a focused and inspiring brainstorm, together we explore a wide range of ideas and translate promising directions into initial sketches and visual concepts.

Day 2 – Joint morning session (Breda)

Morning
The strongest ideas from the first day are evaluated and clear, focused choices are made. By developing user scenarios and a storyboard, the concept takes shape and the direction of the final visual(s) is clearly defined.

Organized lunch

Afternoon
After the 1½-day session, you are free to step away while our designers further develop the selected idea into clear, compelling visuals that communicate the core of the concept. Based on the chosen design direction, one of our lead designers also researches and consolidates key factors such as applicable regulations, certification requirements, estimated development budgets, intellectual property, manufacturing implications, indicative timelines and other critical considerations relevant to the concept.

Day 3 – Presentation and advisory session (online)

Within one week after the session, you receive the ideation report, including the final visual(s) and all relevant supporting insights. In a follow-up discussion, we review logical next steps aligned with your ambitions and development strategy. Based on the outcomes, we can optionally prepare a proposal for follow-up activities.
